According to Statcounter’s March statistics, Google Chrome continues to hold a commanding lead in the desktop segment with 67.29 percent. In March, its share even grew by 2.4 percent. But in the battle for second place, Microsoft Edge took the lead for the first time with 9.65%, followed by Safari in third place with 9.56%. Fourth and fifth places go to Mozilla Firefox (7.57%) and Opera (2.81%), respectively.
But that’s if I was talking about desktop browsers, but in global statistics (it takes into account both desktop and mobile devices), Edge is in third place and is far inferior to Safari: 4.05% vs. 18.84%. Google Chrome also rules the ball, though its global market share is slightly lower at 64.53%. In fourth and fifth place are Mozilla Firefox (3.4%) and Samsung Internet (2.82%).
