The sixth season of “Supergirl” will be the last

The upcoming sixth season of “Supergirl” will be the series final season.

The most interesting thing is that representatives of The CW and Warner Bros. they did not disclose the reason for this move — it could be either a conscious decision of the project authors, or the desire of the channel itself to close the show.

The series started in 2015 on CBS, but after the first season moved to The CW, where it joined the set of other superhero projects of the channel, including “Arrow”, “Flash” and so on. Later, the heroine began to participate in crossovers between projects.

This is the second series among the channel’s superhero stories that comes to a conclusion — earlier in the eighth season, “Arrow”was completed. The final season of “Supergirl” of 20 episodes starts in 2021.
